For Immediate Release Pulsed Fiber Sources with Multi-Kilowatt Output DRAFT RELEASE - Version 1.0 Ottawa, Canada - May 19, 2005 The OZ Optics line of Pulsed Fiber Sources (PFS) are a series of compact turnkey systems and OEM modules based on a highly reliable master-oscillator/power-amplifier (MOPA) design, for LIDAR, range finders, nonlinear optics, free-Space communication and other applications. These sources provide up to 2 W of average output power and up to 20 kW of peak power at wavelength ranges near 1um and 1.5um, with adjustable pulse widths from 5 to 100 ns and repetition rates up to 100 kHz. The all-fiber configuration of these lasers provide a robust, monolithic design with no optical parts to align or stabilize, no need for maintenance parts or materials, and the ability to operate under high shock, vibration and dusty conditions. Custom configurations can be manufactured to meet unique demands. Contact an OZ Optics sales representative for more details. About OZ Optics Limited
