OZ Optics Limited, a global supplier of fiber optic products for existing and next-generation optical networks, now offers a new line of backreflection (return loss) meters for optical components.

The handheld units feature a dual wavelength (1310/1550nm) source and an optional detector for insertion loss measurement. The device is rugged and has a simple intuitive user interface. Both singlemode and polarization maintaining devices and connectors can be tested. A multimode version will be available upon request.

The Backreflection meter includes an RS-232 communications port for communication between the meter and a computer. This allows remote control and data logging of the results for quality control.

With a 65dB dynamic range and a broad range of accessories, the Backreflection meter has all the functionality you need, at a competitive price.
